The Green Bike Project is a co-operatively run bicycle workshop on the campus of the University of Birmingham; we provide tools for our members to use and also hold events on cycling and sustainable transport.

What we mainly do is teach people to work on their own bikes. Many people already know how to work on bikes, that’s fine too, we’re here if you need us. We try to be hands-off with bike repair so that you have the space and time to learn at your own pace but if you have any questions then ask and we’ll do our best to help.

Please note we have only one qualified bicycle mechanic whose main role is to teach skills and certify bikes for sale, thus we have only limited time to do expert bicycle repair for you. If this is what you’re looking for we recommend the Birmingham Bike Foundry instead.
